Bassett Applied Research (BAR)

Bassett Applied Research (BAR) is the specialist research and development company of Bassett.

It is a wholly owned division of Bassett Consulting Engineers providing the firm with a separately funded research and development division, capable of operating independently from the Company's main project work.

The division is funded through direct client commissions, government agency grants, patent royalties, Bassett project work and internal funding. This mix of revenue allows the division to explore innovative solutions outside regular project work without the pressures of programme deadlines.

BAR has developed a Centre of Excellence in building energy and environmental design and modelling using integrated thermal and daylighting simulation software and Computational Fluid Dynamics.
