The Museum provided a unique blend of contemporary architecture in a natural setting. The project included lighting internal and external elements of the museum, including the unique AIATSIS library, feature pathways and key architectural elements.
Value for Client
The museum, which received special recognition as a project of national significance in the 2001 MBA Excellence in Building Awards, was the first major Australian construction project delivered under an Alliance contracting delivery mechanism. It has also won critical acclaim as the new benchmark for modern museum construction throughout the world, and the engineering services was a component part in the project achieving this status.
